How to Apply- Send resume to: [email protected]
A small change that improves cold email replies
Most cold emails fail for one simple reason.
They make the reader do too much work.
A typical cold email looks like this:
Long introduction.
Full background.
Resume attached.
Request for referral.
The person reading it has to:
– Understand who you are
– Figure out what you want
– Decide whether they can help
– Read your resume
All in one go.
That’s heavy.
Instead, reduce decision pressure.
Keep your first email focused on just one thing:
Clarity.
For example:
“Hi ___, I’m a backend engineer with experience in Java and REST APIs. I recently applied for the ___ role on your team and wanted to introduce myself.”
Stop there.
Don’t immediately ask for referral.
Don’t attach a long story.
If they reply, the door is open.
Cold emails work better when they start small.
The goal of the first message is not to get hired.
It’s to start a conversation.
You can always share your resume after they respond.
Short, clear emails get read.
Heavy emails get postponed.
