Stop waiting for the interviewer to judge you — create “mini checkpoints” during your answers.

Most candidates speak continuously and hope they’re making sense.

But interviewers often get confused or lose track — and won’t always tell you.

Instead, after explaining something important, pause and check:

“Does that make sense?”

“Would you like me to go deeper into any part?”

Why this works:

It shows confidence (you’re not afraid of feedback)

 It keeps the interviewer engaged

It prevents you from going in the wrong direction for too long

Example:

Instead of a long explanation of your project, break it:

“I built the API layer for authentication and data handling… does that make sense so far, or should I explain the flow briefly?”

This turns the interview into a conversation, not a monologue.

Most candidates either:

 Over-explain

 Or under-explain

This helps you stay balanced.

Bonus:

If the interviewer says “yes, got it,” you just saved time.

If they say “go deeper,” you know exactly where to focus.

Rule: Don’t just talk — check if you’re being understood.
